The Prairie Dog Town is not the only place you can find the Black-Tailed rodent at Wichita Mountains. There are several colonies, much larger and wide spread on the entrane to the holly city. Literally hundreds of them running wild on the great plain. A bird of prey, unsure of the species, large hawk was consuming one of the rodent when i arrived. This picture has darker background tone, great to show off the distinguish long eyelash of the dog.
