The Horse Bend was the best sunset we had on the trip to American Southwest Canyons. The sky changed colors numerous times soon after the sun dropped below the horizon. It grew, dimmed then brightened up again in pink, orange and red shades. It was beautiful and so did the massive view on the Colorado river.
We skipped Monument valley, headed straight to Page, Arizona soon we took off from Canyonlands National Park in high gear. I think we got there 20 minutes before sunset and so glad that it was a short walk to the shooting location. I have to admit that my knee went weak stood on the edge of the cliff looking for a good spot. One slip of the foot, it’s 1000 feet drop straight to the bottom and no one can survive the fall!
We stayed at Page for the night and I came back next morning but nada. It was a clear sky and cold. Cloud no more and it ain’t worth shooting.
