An American Painted Lady on Scabiosa “Butterfly Blue”

An American Painted Lady (Vanessa virginiensis) is a common backyard butterfly and so does the Scabiosa “Butterfly Blue” flower. Under the sun, front view of the wings is nothing but deep orange so the side wing is actually more attractive from an angle. Here’s a combination of both from a view showing the difference in color.
