Barred Owl on Tree Cavity – White Rock Lake, Sunset Bay

After one year of tracking and photographing a mating pair of barred owls at White Rock lake, i’ve founded the gold mine! it was a good feeling located this barred owl’s nest ahead of schedule. We’ve speculated the location but was never confirmed. The nest cavity is about 25-30 feet high in up a tree trunk and it’s very exciting to wait for this shy mama getting out of the nest comes late evening. Hoot-Hoot!
