Took a trip to Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge last weekend, a place i used to frequent but stop due to productivity. It’s good to see the waterfowl pools now are more accessible and well maintained. The distance and location are better for BIF. It’s approaching near end of season though, the waterfowls start to lose that colorful winter plumage and so does this drake northern shoveler took flight up close.

My 1D Mark IV died later, and i’ve changed the internal CR2025 clock battery but it refused to power up still. I’ve sent it off to Canon service center and hope to get it back sooner as i can’t wait to get more flyers!
